An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory for travelers, within three months prior to their arrival to Brazil, have lived in or visited the following countries (does not include transit nor connection):

According to the notification of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, these are the areas in risk of yellow fever in Brazil. The vaccination is recommended for all travellers from 6 months old on who intend to visit the following states or areas:

Please note that yellow fever vaccinations take approximately 10 days to become effective.
